After her big break in The Wolf of Wall Street,
it did not take Margot Robbie
long to become one of the top actresses in Hollywood. In the past decade, the Australian beauty has gone on to deliver some consecutive iconic hits that have raised her in the ranks of the industry. And for one of them, she joined hands with the ultra-successful Will Smith
.
Their romance movie, which once did wonders on the big screen, is now scheduled for the streaming world, hoping for another round of success after its initial run.
Margot Robbie and Will Smith’s classic lands soon on Netflix
Making the upcoming June hotter, Netflix is charged with a long list of new and old arrivals on the platform, and one of them is the 2015 theft-themed movie Focus
on June 1. In this crime comedy written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, Will Smith plays a veteran con artist named Nicky who takes a novice and femme fatale named Jess, played by Margot Robbie, under his wing.

Learning the tricks of the trade, the pair become romantically involved, but fate has other plans when they go their separate ways. Following a time jump of three years into the future, the plot brings a lot of excitement against the backdrop of exotic locations. Other than the leads, it also starred Rodrigo Santoro, Adrian Martinez, B.D. Wong, Robert Taylor, Gerald McRaney, and others, and proved to be a blockbuster hit.
A decade ago, when the movie was released, it collected much revenue and was also decorated on Netflix.
Box office and last year’s streaming performance of Focus
Upon its release on February 27, 2015, Focus
grossed a total of $158 million against its $50 million budget despite receiving a bag of mixed reviews from critics. Apart from the States, the movie proved to be a strong performer internationally, collecting close to $20 million in countries like the United Kingdom, Russia, and the Netherlands. Then last year, when Netflix added it to the platform, it emerged as a top performer there too. The movie proved a big career move for Margot Robbie, who again made headlines for the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
sequel
a few months ago.

On Netflix, Focus
topped the US chart within the first week of its streaming release. Fighting against new Christmas titles, it overpowered films like Hot Frosty
and Meet Me Next Christmas
. Though later it had to be removed from there, owing to a licensing agreement. But come June the first this year, fans can once again enjoy it on the platform, reliving the on-screen glorious romance of Nicky and Jess, the rival grifters who turn enemies to lovers after falling for each other.
