The exciting ending that Deadpool 2
delivered to the fans was amazingly topped with a great continuation in Deadpool & Wolverine
. When this blockbuster came into theatres last year, revenue rained massively. However, Ryan Reynolds
broke fans’ hearts when he previously said that this would be the last movie in the franchise. But applying balm on their wounds, the actor is finally back to take the character to its final destination with a fourth and perhaps final movie.
But what exactly are Ryan Reynolds plans for this ultimate goodbye of this beloved character and where does he see him in the future?
Ryan Reynolds envision a thoughtful and noble future for Deadpool
Ryan Reynolds is gearing up for Deadpool’s return, but according to insiders’ report to The Hollywood Reporter
, this time he might not lead the movie, and might just be a supporting character. He is exploring ideas for a movie that will also include more X-Men
characters. Previously talking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has said his character’s ultimate dream is to be accepted and appreciated. Reynolds must uncover a deeper purpose behind Marvel Jesus’s existence— and perhaps the X-Men
narrative provides that path.
It is unclear which actors Reynolds may be eyeing for future MCU collaborations, but whether it is his Wolverine buddy, Hugh Jackman, or Storm hopeful Cynthia Erivo
, the multiverse is full of star-powered options. In this finale movie, Deadpool could play the second fiddle as a supporting player while he gives three or four X-Men
characters the chance to take the lead and contribute to the future of Marvel. He has previously also told the outlet that Deadpool joining the X-Men
and the Avengers
would have unintended consequences, which he could potentially explore in the upcoming installment.

But the question stands that after the mind-blowing commercial success of Deadpool & Wolverine,
why would Reynolds take this route and end his journey this quickly?
Ryan Reynolds creative passion overtakes his dayjob for Deadpool 4
Ryan Reynolds told The Hollywood Reporter last year that he is more passionate about
storytelling than he is about acting, adding, “If I win, great. If I lose, I
get to also feel like I was the architect of my own demise.”
For this
franchise, he has been provided with much creative control, which has ultimately
paid off well.
But this time, he is looking for
creative satisfaction as a storyteller rather than more screen time as an actor. Nonetheless, thankfully, the story
of Deadpool has not ended yet in the MCU.
It seems, Reynolds, who has previously vocal about not
making a final movie has changed his thoughts. Although his adieu is definitely going to be a heartbreak, but his self-aware
ending with his integrity and sarcasm intact, which also satisfy Reynolds is a
much better closure than an abrupt one.
