Netflix is gearing up to add another gem to its roster of emotionally charged sports biopics, this time in collaboration with legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady. At the heart of the Brady-produced offering will be the story of an extraordinary team whose bond, resilience, and determination once showed the world how the sky is truly the only limit. Brady’s latest endeavor pledges to transform the world for the better, one frame at a time.
Team Hoyt
is shaping up to be a story that cracks one’s heart open, only to break it in the most beautiful way.
The Hoyts’ race was personal — now their story gets real, thanks to Tom Brady
Team Hoyt consisted of Dick and Rick Hoyt, the legendary father-son duo who defined endurance and grit in the world of sports before their respective demises in 2021 and 2023. Dick Hoyt embraced fatherly love in its purest, most altruistic form when he turned himself into a triathlete to participate with his son Rick, who was born with spastic cerebral palsy. Dick either pulled or pushed his specially abled son through thousands of endurance games, including 72 marathons. The extraordinary feat earned the duo an induction into the Ironman Hall of Fame and several other revered clubs.

Since the iconic Hoyts are no longer in the world to inspire generations themselves, celebrating their story becomes even more pivotal, and kudos to Tom Brady for taking it upon himself to tell the world a story worth telling. Forming the central narrative of the biopic’s plot is also Judy Hoyt, the matriarch of the family, who waged a war in her own right by demanding disability inclusion in schools.
Netflix’s latest collaboration with Tom Brady marks a major shift from their last collaboration. While the new endeavor is all emotional, the previous was a tickle extravaganza.
Remember Tom Brady’s roast on Netflix? The GOAT got grilled — and how!
Thinking of Tom Brady and not being reminded of him at his most vulnerable state live is a task no one is interested in accomplishing. Before stepping into the producer’s chair for his above-discussed effort, Brady found himself in a very different spotlight — one that served savage burns, sharp jabs, and absolutely no mercy. Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady,
which aired in May 2024, took the star Super Bowl champion off the field and into the laughter pit, where he did not spare A-listers like Kim Kardashian either

The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady will be LIVE on Netflix on May 5 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.

The Netflix event quickly became one of the platform’s most talked-about specials, and it rightly explains why the streamer is not wanting to let Brady go anytime soon. Whether Brady delivers success with the Team Hoyt
biopic while taking an off-screen role remains to be seen. However, one thing is for certain: Netflix has placed long-term faith in the sports star.
