Vanessa Kirby Teases More Superpower Characters in Marvel’s First Family, The Fantastic Four

that succeeded beyond expectation in all quarters, Marvel is now ready to launch the start of Phase Six of the MCU with its first film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

A reboot of the tale of four humans turned extraordinary with superpowers, this upcoming movie is also about the first family from Marvel. Hence, the lead face and the only lady among the heroes, Vanessa Kirby, is beyond excited for the reboot to arrive.

And giving the fans a massive gem of information recently, the actress has divulged a rare peak, increasing its appeal.

All the preparation for The Fantastic Four: First Steps

is locked in by Marvel, and these days, the cast is working hard to promote the movie endlessly for the July 25 release. To catch its essence, Empire recently did a cover story on the movie with the cast

, during which Vanessa Kirby made a massive reveal. Revealing that her character, Sue Storm, and Reed Richards’s child could potentially be another superhero in the movie, Kirby teased, “It’s not just adults that have superpowers.”

As revealed in the trailer, Sue and Reed are expecting their first child, also marking it a first for any Marvel movie to give its heroes a children’s arc. According to some fan theories, the “first steps”

in the name are likely related to the baby. Screen Rant has gone on to theorize that with these four characters returning in Avengers: Secret Wars

and things being interconnected, chances are that Reed and Sue’s child can appear in Avengers: Doomsday.

While these are all untested theories, Kirby shared some personal details on the character’s approach.

The solo lead actress also gave detailed information about how invested she got in her character, The Invisible Woman.

Revealing to Empire about her process of embracing the character, Vanessa Kirby shared that she is a “Sue nerd”

. She also feels that during her first Marvel meeting, she “out-nerded everyone

” in the room and has been working on preparing for the role since she was handed the blue spandex. And to fully understand the character, she did much reading as well by getting into quantum physics, adding, “It’s sad how much I got into it. I could waffle on about cellular vibration frequency.”
