Around two years ago, Taylor Swift fans chanced upon a 1981 Glamour Gals dolls collection commercial, which quickly began circulating on TikTok.
The original TikTok clip was captioned, “This is proof that Taylor Swift is a time traveler.”
The actress in the advertisement, which aired eight years before the pop star was born, bore striking similarities with Swift, prompting fans to question whether it was really her. While some came to terms with the possibility of a time trip, no matter how bizarre it sounds, it turns out that the actress in question was Toni Hudson.

Hudson is a 64-year-old American actress. She appeared in the 1985 flick, Just One of the Guys
, and has since made guest appearances on shows such as The Greatest American Hero, Knight Rider, The A-Team,
and The Love Boat
. Although her fringes, face cut, and of course, the blonde hair had fans sold on the idea that Swift is capable of time travel, even for a self-made billionaire like her, a time capsule might be a little extravagant to fit in her garage.
Then again, the conviction was so unwavering, even Toni Hudson stepped up to clear the air following the speculations.

Months after the entire time travel debates and discussions picked up momentum in showbiz, Toni Hudson, or what Swifties believed to be a Taylor Swift lookalike, broke her silence on the confusion. In a June interview last year with Inside Edition, Hudson clarified it was actually her in the Glamour Gals commercial. “It’s not Taylor Swift. It’s me, Toni Hudson. Right here in the flesh,”
Hudson said.
Hudson has had a successful career in television and film. However, the Glamour Gals commercial is widely believed to be her big break as a 19-year-old. While, of course, not every fan saw the resemblance as a cue for the impossible, considering Swift’s potential for often doing the unthinkable, it is understandable that fans had to do a double-take, and Hudson had to set the record straight on the daze.
