For now, Hawkins is frozen in time, and fans are praying day and night for a hot update to break it free. Meanwhile, its red-haired and strong-willed heroine, Sadie Sink, has put her Stranger Things
days on pause, devoting her days to her other career interest, Broadway. As the actress was busy fulfilling creative satisfaction on stage, the anticipation of release dates is fluttering through the fandom, and Sink is here to fan this flame.
According to Sadie Sink, her latest stage work could be the key to some easter eggs for the highly anticipated Stranger Things
finale, something that fans should not skip.
Sadie Sink’s new play a boon for the Stanger Things fandom
On April 14, Sadie Sink’s play John Proctor is the Villain opened on Broadway, and recently, speaking to Deadline about it
, Sink opened up about the connection between her play and Stranger Things
. When asked if there is any correlation in her play to what happens on Season five of the TV series, she cheekily replied, “It might. There are definitely some easter eggs I spotted for sure.”
John Proctor is the Villain starring Sink as Shelby, is based on Arthur Miller’s play The Crucible,
and has earned some impressive reviews. While the answer is enough to create a wild curiosity, it still does not give the fans a major hint about the finale. It is not just Sink, but the entire cast is tight-lipped about it. But Sink has been vocal about her emotional experience of wrapping the filming of Stranger Things.
Sadie Sink had a hard time bidding her adieu to Max Mayfield and the universe, similar to other cast members.
Sadie Sink and other cast members’ emotional farewell to Stranger Things
Earlier this year, in March, when Sadie Sink spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, she shared the details of the heart-wrenching final day of the shoot that left her sobbing. The actress admitted, “I had cried so much that my eyes were so puffy; they had never been like that before.”
She also recalled how there were some embarrassing pictures of her with swollen eyes from the emotional farewell. And it is not just Sink, but her fellow upside-down resident, Millie Bobby Brown
, who has also previously opened up about the heart-wrenching goodbye to the show.
Earlier, taking to Instagram, Brown shared some set pics from over the years, which also included a goodbye speech she gave, saying, “I am not ready to leave you guys.”
Last year, Noah Schnapp also shared a final tour of Castle Byers
with the fans, which left them all emotional. While growing up and leaving things behind is inevitable, the cast is dearly attached to the show on which they grew up. But for now, the wait for the finale is making fans restless, and hopefully, Sadie Sink’s play will help them in decoding some hints.
