Tommy Wirkola is known for directing and writing gleeful, over-the-top, genre-bending films with a mix of dark humor, high-energy action, and his flair to the story. He picks up topics that are familiar to the audience, adds some silliness and quirk to them, and hands them to them, who are left shocked and amused at the same time. This aspect is also something that his upcoming movie Spermaggedon
shares, however, this time, to the displeasure of the audience.
After releasing The Violent Night
and disappearing for almost two years, the director is back with a new flick Spermaggedon,
whose new trailer has stirred quite a lot of reaction online.
The Internet has been rendered momentarily speechless only to recover and voice their bewildered amusement and disbelief towards the themes teased by the trailer.

The newly released trailer for Spermageddon
ventures into a bold blend of adolescent romance and a whole lot of imaginative amination, taking a road not often taken to present the journey of conception. The film will follow a teenage couple exploring the concept of s– for the first time, leading to the beginning of Simen, sp—, and his friends’ daring journey in search of the egg. With the trailer out, it has easily become the talk of the town, along with
Wirkola’s My Secret Santa,
which has recently landed on Netflix.
One might say Spermageddon’s
narrative is one that will leave no stone, or cell, unturned, much to the dismay—or delight—of an Internet entirely incapable of silence.
Tommy Wirkola’s Spermageddon’s trailer release sets off a storm of reactions
The Internet’s reaction towards the trailer has been nothing short of disgust. While some question the necessity of such a storyline, others are outright baffled by its sheer absurdity. One might say the comment section has been virtually barfing in unison. Love it or hate it, the trailer has certainly made its mark.

A lot of users have also pointed out similarities between Spermaggedon
and Sausage Party
. The latter, which follows a group of supermarket foods discovering their grim fate and attempting to escape, was praised for its inventive storytelling. If all goes well, Spermageddon
may also enjoy the same fate.
Oh this is Sausage party all over again
