What are the entertainment offerings that consumers are most excited about? It’s a question that marketers, distributors, advertisers and media publications are always asking.
ScreenShare, a data partnership between Screen Engine/ASI and TheWrap, tracks the Top 10 most-mentioned entertainment options every week and whether each has gained or lost momentum compared to the prior week. The chart lives on the Data & Analysis page of the WrapPRO Members Hub.
“Wicked,” which is available to rent and purchase on digital platforms, holds its position at No. 1. “Super Bowl LIX,” featuring the highly anticipated half-time show by Grammy Award-winning Kendrick Lamar, moves up one spot to No. 2 while Netflix’s “Squid Game” falls one spot to No. 3. “NFL Football” comes in at No. 4 as each team continues to face-off in the playoffs. Standing strong at No. 5 for the second week in a row is “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” which is now the highest-grossing film in the franchise, domestically.
Disney’s two box office hits, “Mufasa: The Lion King,” which has earned $500 million globally, and “Moana 2,” which is nearing $1 billion globally, land at No. 6 and No. 9, respectively. Paramount+ hit “Landman,” which aired its Season 1 finale Jan. 12, joins the list at No. 7 while fellow western drama, “Yellowstone,” reappears at No. 8. Apple TV+’s “Severance” debuts at No. 10 just ahead of its long-awaited Season 2 premiere this Friday. This is the first time four TV series have made it into the Top 10 since August.
