is the biggest success of Ryan Coogler. The story’s narrative ends with a surprise, as Sammie, thought to be the only survivor, encounters two vampires who were believed to be gone. parting ways for good. However, the director was not just satisfied with one ending for the movie.
A cast member from the movie revealed that Coogler was ready to take its ending to different angles with alternate finales ready with him.
Sammie’s fate in Sinners could have taken another turn

, he shared some unknown details of the finale. Speaking to the outlet, Caton revealed that Ryan Coogler shot multiple versions of the Sinners
ending, one of which included his character going back to the church, and him holding the guitar, ”pondering over whether to give it up or hold on to it.”

Miles Caton, who made his on-screen debut with the movie, told GQ that with that one, they were trying to make better choices, which is something that can be seen throughout the film. However, in the released version, his character, Sammie, gets to live a happy and long human life, refusing the choice of immortality. He also enjoys his musical future, which also ties into the film’s key themes. Had Ryan Coogler gone with that one, then would things have been different for Sinners

’ post-credits, Miles Caton’s Sammie is seen playing a rendition of ‘This Little Light of Mine’, the back story of which was revealed by Caton in the same interview. The 20-year-old shared that the scene had already been shot earlier in filming, and it was originally Sammie looking at his father after playing in the church. They were thinking of doing a rendition and how it would be on a resonator guitar, and finally, that was what they came up with.

Fortunately, each decision turned out well and was favorable for the movie. The cast is having the time of their life as Sinners
debuted at number one with revenue of $45.6 million in the opening week. That was the biggest opener for any movie post-COVID.
