As per April Blair, the reason behind creating Ransom Canyon
on Netflix stems from her desire to bring romance, drama, and mystery, all in one package. “Old Westerns did have a romance and a drama to them, so it leans into a more bygone era Western,”
she added. While it remains to be seen whether the package works out in vanishing the blues left after the Yellowstone
void, given Netflix’s recent streak of success, the odds are definitely in their favor.
