and Rob McElhenney. But the real MVP in this underdog tale isn’t the bankroll or the clever strategy, it is the banter, as sharp and well-timed as a striker’s winning goal, that the two owners share.
Reynolds, ever the comedic virtuoso, leans so hard into his funny-man persona it’s practically a second career. Meanwhile, McElhenney, with a humility that would make anyone suspicious, insists he has nothing to do with the laughs.

While the OG Twitteratis would know better since they saw Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in their prime as they had hilarious battles on the app, even new fans are aware of their game. Therefore, when Rob McElhenney appeared alongside Quinta Brunson on the GOAT Talk
where they discussed all things GOATed, which of course led to a discussion about McElhenney’s humor, to which he stated that he had none and was simply leaching off on his super humorous friends.
It is unclear, however, if McElhenney was giving his trolls a taste of their own medicine as this is a narrative often spun by some fans of Wrexham AFC or whether he genuinely believed that he was not the kind of guy that would make someone roar with laughter; that is something his Hollywood friends do.

Despite sitcoms having been reduced dramatically in size and figures, Abbott Elementary
and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
have managed to stand their ground and now plan to further tickle the funny bones with their collaboration. Even if what McElhenney said about him not being funny was true, it will not be true for much long with the crossover coming soon.
