The Marvel Comics universe has always been a nostalgic time machine, zapping fans back to their childhoods where comic pages were the only playground. But as the Marvel Cinematic Universe attempts to sync up with its ink-and-paper origins, a recent comic crumb has fans gripping their capes in anticipation. It all circles back to Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, who had been left chilling in the presumed-dead-zone since her dramatic exit in 2022. However, this latest comic clue from a Marvel artist might just be the plot twist fans have been manifesting, as the Internet now brainstorms to piece it all together.
Marvel Comics’ TVA #3 recently went on sale and the comic crumbs were just enough for fans to realize the series is nothing but a canon to Marvel Studios’ ongoing narrative. In the recent issue, Gwen follows a path from a dream excerpt that leads her to the Department of Deferment. There, she chanced upon what appears to be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Scarlet Witch aka Elizabeth Olsen. Although some skepticism still lingered, Marvel Comics artist Pere Pérez confirmed in an Instagram thread it is indeed Olsen’s Wanda in the TVA Comic.

Wanda Maximoff seemingly wears the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
costume and even has the same darkened fingers from using the Darkhold as the Earth-616 variant. Fans already had questions about Elizabeth Olsen’s whereabouts throughout the events of Agatha All Along.
But her return before Avengers: Doomsday
could mean the TVA comic is actually canon. However, nothing is confirmed, except for the fact that it is Olsen’s Wanda.

Though the Marvel Cinematic Universe already brought Elizabeth Olsen back from the dead for Marvel Zombies
as Wanda Maximoff, it looks like she might be more than a zombie for Marvel Studios in days to come, and fans cannot wait.
Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda comeback in Marvel Comics leaves fans bracing for MCU’s future
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has shown a knack for resurrecting the dead after the new flag bearers of Marvel Studios needed some saving despite being superheroes. Although the debate has raged on far too long about Elizabeth Olsen’s return as Wanda Maximoff, the Marvel Comics’ TVA edition may have answered some prayers inadvertently before Doomsday
or Secret Wars
could pitch for the drum rolls.

Meanwhile, a few folks have already crowned Olsen the savior of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, heavily persuaded that her comeback was just what was missing amidst the drought of superheroes. Now, whether Olsen turns back time for the MCU remains to be seen. But if she does, it may be the end of the era of superhero fatigue, at least in the Marvel Comics universe.
