Recently, the ‘Baby’ singer gave the world an overwhelming surprise when singer-songwriter SZA pulled Bieber onto the stage during the Grand National Tour, making the concert night even more grand. The crowd went wild when Bieber, sporting a buzz cut and leather jacket, appeared on stage and synchronized some melodies with his co-singer.
The pop star joined SZA for their remix of her hit song ‘Snooze’ from the 2022 album ‘SOS’ and vibed with her, even kissing her hand multiple times as they roamed across the stage. Many clips for the night have made it to the internet, where hand in hand, the two interacted in a fun and flirtatious manner and vibed to each other’s tune while giving the LA attendees a memorable night to remember.
This appearance was a big surprise for the Bieber fans who last saw him performing on stage at 2024’s Coachella, when he surprised the crowd during Tems’ set for a rendition of the 2021 remix of ‘Essence.’ No one is complaining, though, as he surely made a valuable addition to the tour. SZA, who recently made history with Kendrick Lamar at the Seattle show
, has been performing with Lamar since April for its United States leg of the tour.

But for some fans, the Justin Bieber surprise did not bode well, as expressed in the comments.

Lately, Justin Bieber has been surrounded by many controversies, be it his bold interaction with the media or cryptic posts on social media about mental health that have left his fans worried. But he is often admired for his commitment to his wife, Hailey Bieber, who was also present at this concert. But many fans found his on-stage physical interaction with SZA offensive and disrespectful towards his wife, with fans writing, “I can’t even defend this man anymore”
and “I didn’t like that she grabbed his face 😤 😤
.” While for some his chemistry with SZA was better than it is with Hailey Bieber, he wrote, “He has chemistry with everyone except Hailey 😂😂😂.”
