When it comes to Carrie Bradshaw’s couture, it is difficult not to get Carrie’d away. From turning New York streets into her personal catwalk to rebranding date-nights into editorial-worthy ensembles, she has turned every brunch, breakup, and brownstone step into a Vogue cover moment. So when Jenna Ortega rolled up to the Hurry Up Tomorrow
premiere, fresh off her ruler-sharp Met slayage, she did what any fashion oracle would do—she summoned the patron saint of city chic. Cue the iconic newspaper dress, reborn with red carpet energy.
Bradshaw may have made Manhattan her runway, but Ortega just turned Hollywood into a sequel.
Jenna Ortega turns heads in Carrie Bradshaw’s newspaper dress at Hurry Up Tomorrow premiere
Jenna Ortega is bringing back cult classic couture, and she could not have chosen a better platform. The Wednesday
star stepped out for the Hurry
Up Tomorrow
New York premiere in the iconic John Galliano Christian Dior newsprint dress worn by Sarah Jessica Parker, who played Carrie Bradshaw in the S– and the
City
series and movies.
Bradshaw’s fashion footprint is not just a moment; it is the future. And who better to understand tomorrow than the one hurrying up to it?

Or, for a matter, the one whose couture chess game is built on headline-grabbing mechanics
or metallics? Carrie Bradshaw wore the dress in a 2000 S– and the City
episode, and later slipped into it in the sequel film when Mr. Big took her out on a date night before the Abu Dhabi bloopers. Now that Ortega has chosen her couture luck for her next big thing, Hurry Up Tomorrow
, it is safe to say the Carrie-coded couture love letters are back in style.

While Jenna Ortega did couture justice with a Carrie Bradshaw fashion tribute, she was not the only A-lister who paid homage to the newsprint dress recently.
Who else wore the Carrie Bradshaw newspaper dress other than Jenna Ortega?
Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman
, walked the red carpet during CinemaCon 2025 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, flexing a look-alike of the very piece of fashion history Jenna Ortega made waves with. She wore a newsprint dress that resembled significantly with Carrie Bradshaw’s John Galliano Christian Dior dress in the S– and the City
series and films.

Bradshaw’s piece was a white asymmetric slip dress with a monochromatic newsprint, while Brosnahan’s was a black micro minidress with thick sleeves. One of the segments read “Go-Go with Galliano,”
supposedly a nod from the designer to himself. Alexandra Mandelkorn styled Brosnahan, who topped off the look like Bradshaw in a black calf-length boot. While scientists may take time to invent a capsule that defies time, Carrie already has one, a couture capsule that speaks fluent red carpet future.
