SmartLess Mobile is here to shake up your phone bill —

Inside SmartLess Mobile: A no-nonsense, Wi-Fi-first wireless service
Reaching millions of listeners each month was not enough for Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes. The trio wants more, and their entrepreneurial brain casually rolled out a community-focused solution titled SmartLess Mobile. Built on one simple idea: Less is Smart, SmartLess Mobile not only probes why Americans are paying for unlimited data while using Wi-Fi most of the time, it renders a solution for it. Via SmartLess Mobile, the hosts of the eponymous podcast offer to charge people only for the data they use while not connected to their Wi-Fis. Their plan starts at $15 and peaks at $ 30.

Despite literally becoming the phone bill fairy for the people of the USA, where their service will operate, Hayes, one-third of the SmartLess
trio, said, “We are not the industry, and we are not trying to outsmart you.”
Well, AT&T and Verizon, America’s telecom giants, might want to check their signals. SmartLess’ carrier will run on any T-Mobile 5G network. Besides Americans, Puerto Ricans can also hop on the service. With the initiative, Bateman, Hayes, and Arnett join the ranks of another Hollywood A-lister, who experimented with the idea long ago.

Ryan Reynolds’ Mint Mobile made cheap look cool in the wireless world
Ryan Reynolds used his widely appreciated humor and wit to further Mint Mobile in 2019 by buying 20–25 percent stakes in the company and taking on the responsibility of selling more services by becoming its face. Commercials starring the actor quickly went viral in the pre-pandemic era and turned Mint into more than just another budget carrier. With its affordable plans much like SmartLess
’, the network became a cultural talking point.
Mint soon evolved into a gold spitting business with Reynolds’ Midas touch,
hence when it got acquired by T-Mobile in 2023, it reportedly raked in USD 1.35 billion. The actor remains the face of the service, still helping the brand continue to attract new consumers. It looks like Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett have big shoes to fill in the celebrity-owned telecommunication business.
