has ventured into various mediums, including anime and plastic model kits. But its next big step is its foray into live-action, which recently brought some interesting new updates. According to Oricon, a Japanese news site, the live-action revival of Mobile Suit Gundam
is under development, with plans for the film finalized only recently. Legendary Entertainment and Bandai Namco Filmworks have joined forces for the flick’s deal with Jim Mickle on the director’s hot seat.

Bandai Namco Filmworks is a subsidiary group of the Bandai Namco Group that amplifies the movies and shows to fuel the global popularity of the company’s brand. They have also announced the formulation of Bandai Namco Filmworks America, LLC, by April this year, which will serve as the new American part of their larger umbrella
. As per reports, Gundam’s deal was contracted at the end of January and the news was only made public now.
