Stella Luna (15)
Ellen Pompeo has been incredibly private about her family life. Yet, she has opened up about it on select occasions. After tying the knot with music producer Chris Ivery in 2007, the pair officially entered parenthood on September 15, 2009, when they welcomed their eldest daughter, Stella Luna.
In a conversation with PEOPLE in 2016, the Grey’s Anatomy
star stressed
the importance of role models in her children’s lives and that she makes it a point to expose her daughters to “beautiful, powerful, strong Black women.”
While Pompeo has been attached to the ABC medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy

Sienna May (10)
Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery welcomed their second daughter, Sienna May, through surrogacy in 2014, 5 years after Stella Luna was born.
While May brightened their lives, her arrival did not sit well with Luna, her elder sister. During her conversation with Ellen DeGeneres, Pompeo recalled in amusement that Luna asked after three months of May being born if she would leave.
Though Pompeo has seen many curveballs in her showbiz life, this was quite a plot twist. “She had about a month where she was not in a good mood,”

Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery do not post their children’s pictures on social media often, but Eli Christopher, their youngest kid, has made cameos quite a few times on Instagram. Christopher was born in 2016
, and Pompeo welcomed their only son with an Instagram picture of Ivery holding the newborn, captioned, “Chris Ivery just fell a notch. I’ve got a new guy.”
Since then, Christopher has shown off a range of skills from dancing to singing. In 2017, the actress shared a picture of her holding Christopher while preparing to direct a Grey’s Anatomy
episode. “Directing prep with my mentor and man,”
she captioned the monochromatic snap. In March 2021, Christopher made a rare appearance in her TikTok video while playing basketball on an outdoor court.

Stella Luna, Sienna May, and Eli Christopher have joined their parents, Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery, on multiple public appearances, including the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Women’s Show in Italy in July 2022.
They were all sporting Dolce & Gabbana from head to toe. Luna was seen with Pompeo at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards in January 2024
when she graced the red carpet in a Monique Lhuillier silver shirt with a black maxi skirt. Luna showed up in a strapless black jumpsuit.
Pompeo even shared a video of them laughing together on Instagram before heading out for the big night. While Luna enjoyed mother-daughter time at the Emmys, May accompanied the actress to the New York Fashion Week when she was only 8.
She also joined the Grey’s Anatomy
