But writer Scott Reynolds is hinting at even more intriguing casting news. Taking to X recently, he teased how excited he is to share the full cast lineup—though he is keeping the details under wraps for now. The tease came as a response to the show’s most recent casting announcement.

Uma Thurman has officially joined the cast as the first new series regular for this follow-up to Dexter: New Blood.

According to Deadline, she will play Charley, the Head of Security for the mysterious billionaire Leon Prater. But that is not the only good news regarding the upcoming sequel. Apart from Thurman’s casting update, lead actor Michael C. Hall recently shared another update on his social media handle.

left off, with Dexter’s secret getting finally exposed.

Dexter: Original Sin

, however, is taking a short mid-season break before returning with more episodes. And as long as it is not wrapped, there cannot be another sequel. Therefore, fans can expect Dexter: Resurrection

to premiere later this year, likely in the fall or winter. And once Original Sin

concludes, fans will get a clearer picture of how the events in Resurrection

 will tie into the larger Dexter

storyline.
