Although some Tinseltown executives acknowledge the slip, it does not exactly change the course of gravitation. However, thanks to a select-few timely revisits, like the one made by Amanda Seyfried recently, the clock resets for a brief period. And her latest trip down the cinematic lanes of this 2009 horror comedy is a golden example of just that.
Interestingly, Seyfried’s nostalgic nod presented a convincing argument in favor of comedic creepiness. However, it additionally lent credibility to both the pros and cons of the genre through a bigger lens.

Amanda Seyfried recently talked with GQ, expressing
nothing but love for the 2009 flick. Speaking of Kathryn Kusama’s comedy horror starring herself and Megan Fox, she said, “I can’t critique the movie. To me, it’s perfect.”
However, Seyfried acknowledged Jennifer’s Body
was not picture-perfect because it failed in marketing.

The Oscar nominee illuminated Diablo Cody’s “outspoken
” sensibility in writing the movie and even made a convincing pitch for the special effects and the stunts. However, Seyfried believes “the marketing team cheapened” a
nd “ruined
” the project, leveraging Fox’s glamor to attract a younger male audience. Still, to Seyfried, “Karyn and Diablo were a really good team,
” and the branding mistake could not change her mind since the flick ultimately translated into a feminist cult classic.

she said.

Reflecting on all that fun she had starring in Jennifer’s Body
with Megan Fox, Seyfried added, “I wanna celebrate it by doing a sequel.”
She hoped Fox’s character had some resurrection elixir in the cards, plunging the doubt on whether she was even offed in the first place. Although it remains to be seen whether the cinematic revisit adds to the allure of the original, here is hoping it learn from its mistakes and flips the script this time around.
