With a singular focus on revenge, Cronus sets out to find and eliminate Zeus, the very god who caged him in Tartarus. Cronus’ character is deeply rooted in mythological significance, a massively powerful yet wounded character.
Molina’s powerful voiceover brings him to life with such persuasiveness and authenticity that it is almost impossible not to sympathize with his cause. His weighty monologues underscore his classical training, making him a compelling addition to the show.

In a recent conversation with Den of Geek, Blood of Zeus
creators Charley and Vlas Parlapanides opened up about bringing Alfred Molina as Cronus in season 3, following the positive acclaim about the finale.
While they acknowledged that every cast member brings a unique expertise on their own, Molina was just “perfect
” as Cronus. They knew from the start that they required someone who would relate to the character’s emotional and vulnerable profile.
“What made Alfred so compelling in this role is his ability to convey strength and sorrow in the same breath,
” Vlas Parlapanides said. Cronus was not just a villain to Molina because he discovered the character’s pain, history, and regret. “His voice, his instincts, and his presence made Cronus unforgettable, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have him on board,”
he continued. While they were convinced about Molina’s potential, it turns out he even exceeded their expectations.
