Hollywood’s young starlet, Sydney Sweeney
, found international fame with projects like Euphoria

. But they were not the first rodeo for the actress. Sweeney, who has been working in the industry for more than a decade now, has some major and impressive credits in her resume that speak volumes about the actress’s on-screen skills. Some of her earlier works are underrated but contain some hidden gems, like The Voyeurs.
Led by Sydney Sweeney, this erotic thriller once brought her talent to the digital streaming world, delving into the voyeuristic thriller genre.
Sydney Sweeney untangles some dark messes in The Voyeurs
The Voyeurs

The film received mixed reviews from critics and has an average rating of 45% on Rotten Tomatoes. It was compared to a few earlier voyeuristic thrillers like Rear Window
and Body Double
, in front of which it did not do that well, but was appreciated for its initial mystery, subsequent twists, and the chemistry between the lead actors. However, the fans sometimes confuse it with another project with the same name on Netflix.

Streaming giant Netflix also happens to have their version of Voyeurs
, but it is miles away from the thriller starring Sweeney.
What is the Netflix’s version of Voyeurs?
Available on Netflix, Voyeurs
is a 2017 documentary by legendary journalist Gay Talese, who unmasks a motel owner, Gerald Foos. This film covers the illegal activities of Foos, who allegedly secretly watched his guests with the aid of specially designed ceiling vents, peering from an observation platform he built in the motel’s attic, spying on them for decades before getting exposed. The critical reviews for this one are mostly positive, and it has a score of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes with an average rating of 6.5/10.

Sometimes the audience gets confused between this documentary and the Sydney Sweeney movie, but both are completely different, with one being a fiction and the other a shocking real-life crime. And though Netflix missed out on this chance, other platforms like Apple TV have a bunch of Sweeney movies
available for fans’ entertainment. But die-hard Sweeney fans who want to experience her 2021 movie can do so on Amazon Prime.
