Meet the Power Players of Sirens: Inside the Kells, DeWitts, and the Fates

Sirens are creatures known to enchant sailors, pull them into the waters, and eat them up, and the lore often differs from one version to another. The Netflix version, if we talk about urban legends, seems to have made quite a different proposal, a different perspective to the mythical sea creatures. In its limited series Sirens,

the red N giant falls just short of baking a cake of tiers—dark comedy, family drama, and addictive secrecy. All frosted in pastel sugar-cream, of course.

With a setting this vibrant, it only makes sense to have the partakers be just as, if not more, colorful.

Meet the Sirens: who drives the sea?

Luring one in is not going to be a difficult task when a show is bathed in luxury. An eye of storm calmness, of an atmosphere, over the top glamour and the breathy grace of sirens with which the ladies move within the frames. Looking like “an easter egg

may not be as bad after all, not when the Kells or DeWitts do it.

The Kells

1. Julianne Moore as Michaela Kell

Michaela is the grande dame of the island, a philanthropist and animal activist who rules her social circle with poise and mystery. Julianne Moore’s ethereal presence makes Michaela both alluring and intimidating.

2. Kevin Bacon as Peter Kell

Peter is Michaela’s husband, old-money businessman and the most powerful man in any room—who also happens to be a puppet husband, looking at his devotion and love-filled eyes. Bacon, surprisingly, brings warmth and humanity to this otherwise imposing figure of Michaela.

The DeWitts

1. Meghann Fahy as Devon DeWitt

Serving as the show’s emotional epicenter, the resilient, funny, and warm-hearted counterpart of the show, lies in Devon. It is while playing limbo between tending to her ailing father and making amends with her deviant sister that she is faced with the situation of the sirens.

2.Milly Alcock as Simone DeWitt

Proven to not have been done better than the how the House of Dragon

actress, Milly Alcock has walked on uncharted territory and reigned over it

, portraying the rebellion, vulnerability and ambition that Simone expresses in the series; it is Simone’s very path to reinvention that drives the motive of the show to its climax.

3. Bill Camp as Bruce DeWitt

Bruce is Devon and Simone’s father, a former Navy man facing early-onset dementia.

The Enthralled

1. Glenn Howerton as Ethan Corbin III

Ethan is the Kells’ neighbor, an unnerved playboy, and Simone’s secret boyfriend. Often sensed as being out of touch yet uncharacteristically alluring, Glenn Howerton amplifies the character’s charm manifold.

2. Josh Segarra as Raymond

Raymond is Devon’s married boyfriend with whom she has not been able to maintain a steady relationship with. His pride in his very own falafel restaurant in Buffalo keeps him on his feet.

3. Trevor Salter as Jordan

Jordan is Ethan’s yacht captain. He is well admired by the island’s socialites, obvious as to why.

The Cliff House Staff

1. Felix Solis as Jose

Jose is the loyal head of security and Peter’s right-hand man, always in the know about the estate’s secrets. Solis’s performance in these roles brings warmth and grounded-ness to the character.

2. Britne Oldford as Missy

Missy is the housekeeper with a sharp wit and the ringleader of the staff’s snarky group chats. With Oldford’s natural hand at humor and timing, Missy creates the cherry on top of the show’s wit combined.

3. Lauren Weedman as Patrice

Tough, no-nonsense chef and a professional smoothie investor. While Lauren Weedman adds quick humor to the show’s narrative aesthetic, Patrice’s smoothies getting ignored are not the happiest of moments in the show

The Fates

1. Jenn Lyon as Cloe

Pastel-loving, mean, and a proud participant of Michaela’s innermost circle and the Folger Glen Wildlife Preservation Society. The actress Jenn Lyon gives the audience a performance no short of nail-biting and frustration, as the character can be best portrayed.

2. Erin Neufer as Lisa

The second of the Fates, or Michaela’s friends. She flaunts her blasting florals and eye-grabbing patterns and her unbound devotion to the society and its proper functioning.

With a cast as glittering and diverse as this ensemble, the tapestry of the island’s elites is brought to life no more than it ever could. Sirens,

being distributed by Netflix, promises to topple over charts right as it hits the screens. Drama, intrigue, wit and humor coming together as ingredients to the mythic sea creature portion to spellbind.
