Whenever the master of mayhem, Ye, aka Kanye West
, drops a beat, chaos comes wrapped in symphony. But every attempt at restraint and confinement only adds value to his mic-drops, and Joe Rogan knows it too well. Last Thursday, the Atlanta native dropped an incredibly controversial single, ‘Heil Hitler,’ on multiple DSPs only to end up getting banned. But did that stop the song from streaming?
Rogan recently weighed in on the phenomenon that has every tabloid in a chokehold with the most logical and analytic dissection yet.
Joe Rogan and co. sheds light on Ye’s Heil Hitler frenzy
After Ye dropped ‘Heil Hitler,’ Spotify, SoundCloud, and multiple other DSPs removed the track from their platforms. However, the song remains on Elon Musk’s X platform, raking millions of views. On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience
with Tom Segura, the duo
delved deep into the phenomenon, saying, “It’s crazy.”
Rogan and Segura acknowledged Ye’s genius but admitted the problem with the track is that it is “catchy
.”
Rogan and Segura believe it is probably a part of his plan to “troll the masses,”
but he does not realize he will get less educated people to rally behind him. While it is insane, they fear it is also “kind of a sign of the times.”
They set the record straight that they do not support anti-semitism, r—–, or any kind of ostracization of any community. However, they noted that many overlook “the benefit of letting people talk,”
because, believe it or not, banning does not help.

Joe Rogan went on to explain what he believes is the boon in allowing people to converse, even if it comes to conflicting issues like Ye’s track.
Joe Rogan and Tom Segura elaborate on how the DSP bans help Ye
During their recent chat on The Joe Rogan Experience,
Joe Rogan and Tom Segura illuminated on Ye’s ‘Heil Hitler’ popularity despite DSP bans. They asked an important question: “Is it good to ban things from platforms, or is it better to let it be out there?”
According to Rogan, restraint only fuels the craving for more, which is basically the case with Ye’s ‘Heil Hitler.’
Despite the ban, the song has millions of streams on X
because the concerted effort to ban the track has made it more popular.
In fact, the momentum supports Ye’s idea that once you talk about the Jews, they will “remove you from everything.”
Rogan recalled the moment he stumbled onto the track, and the first thought that crossed his mind was how this might end ultimately. While all his speculations point to unfavorable conclusions, it makes the audience reflect with a more nuanced approach. Though A-listers may think raising their voices against Ye and banning can put an end to the row, Rogan sees more than what meets most eyes.
