Revenge is best served cold, but what about a favor? Blake Lively
and Anna Kendrick would serve it with a martini spiced with a splash of lemon, dashing couture royalty, and a sprinkle of spine-chillers. Yet, the real brain freezer is not the ask, but where they asked Another Simple Favor
. Every time Lively graces the screen, it is like she has the fashion gods on speed dial from every era and postcode. But Another Simple
Favor
is not just a runway of iconic looks, it is a travel brochure with a plot twist.
So, for those wondering where this sequel was filmed, consider this your simple favor.
Filming locations of Another Simple Favor starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick
Another Simple Favor,
starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, was mostly filmed in Capri, Italy. Director Paul Feig recently revealed to IndieWire that
French Vogue fashion editor Giovanna Battaglia’s 2016 wedding on the Italian island inspired Emily’s ceremony in the movie. Plus, Feig has been a regular visitor for the last three decades. The ceremony scene was filmed at Faro di Punta Carena,
a working lighthouse high on the Capri cliffs.

Some interior scenes were filmed in Toronto, Canada. However, for Paul Feig, the Italian locations were a cinematic dream come true.
Paul Feig reveals why he chose Capri, Italy, for Another Simple Favor
In a recent interview with The Wrap, Another Simple Favor
director Paul Feig said, “I’ve always wanted to make a movie in Capri because we go there all the time.”
Although he was dazed between the choice of wedding movies and rom-coms, it soon struck him to take the setting out of its “natural habitat.”
He always wanted to recreate Giovanna Battaglia’s Capri wedding.
So, Another Simple Favor
actually favored him with a dream-come-true opportunity. Though Feig is not really a fan of sequels, he told IndieWire that the “timing just felt right.”
To be fair, his decision to break the no-sequel policy was beyond a simple favor to fans. And with the breathtaking backdrop, audiences were fully able to savor the martinis, the mystery, and the madness despite the digital distancing between its streaming home, Amazon Prime,
and Capri.
