Ye, aka Kanye West
, is habituated to tussling in the music industry like the back of his hand. In fact, his music and his troubled controversies are so intertwined that it becomes hard to tell which aspect influences the other. Lately, among the endless internet rants, he has been providing the fans with musical treats and announcements. But his musical odyssey, which has always been the leader of charts, has recently been slapped with a major roadblock on its way to success.
Apparently, a three-year-old album of his, which Ye has recently reintroduced to the world, has landed straight in the storm of legal troubles, as per the latest reports.
Ye’s most awaited album get dragged in legal dispute
The run of Ye’s latest music release, ‘Donda 2’, which has become an instant hit, has been halted just after a couple of release days and removed from streaming services. The reason behind this was shared by the rapper in an X post
in which he posted a text message by DeAndre Maiden, who represents the producers, Jahmal Gwin and Brian Miller, who have requested that the album be removed. As per Maiden, Ye has not paid his clients after availing their services. “We did not & do not consent to the usage of our work for Donda 2 or ANY Ye project!,”
the message said.
According to DeAndre, Ye owed them money for almost 3 years now, and has refused to pay, but keeps stealing their work. The message further read that the lawyers are getting the album taken down within an hour of sending it. Ye’s response to the whole matter was in the caption that read DeAndre Maiden had tried to charge him $3 million, “for these beats from people I showed how to make beats to.”
