Following the trademark struggles that American Riviera Orchard reportedly faced, Meghan Markle has let the fans in on the real reason of why she changed the name of her brand through her podcast.
What prompted Meghan Markle to go with As Ever?
Meghan Markle always stays on trend and, besides her active business, also has an ongoing podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder,
where she discusses all of her important issues. In its latest episode with her friend and hair colourist, Kadi Lee
, the former Suits
actress revealed that she had As Ever ready as a backup name long ago, “I had secured As Ever as a name in 2022,”
Markle changed the brand’s name from American River Orchard to As Ever, as “everything started to evolve last year”
because she joined hands with a large company.
What Meghan Markle initially thought was that she would use American Riviera as the main brand, with Orchard being limited for sales purposes. But she found it too small and resembling something else, adding, “The name suddenly became this word salad. I didn’t love that so much.”
The new name, As Ever, gave have some privacy during product development, and she found it really helpful to have that quiet period.

Well, the new name definitely did wonders for her with showing immediate success upon launch
. However, this is not the first big secret Meghan Markle has let the world in on through her podcast.

A few days ago, in another episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder,
Meghan Markle revealed to the world that she suffered from postpartum preeclampsia after her childbirth, which she called “rare and scary.”
On that episode, her guest was Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, who also suffered from the same issue. Both ladies shared their struggles about how they were suffering in silence, trying to juggle all the things. They were still trying to show up for people, mostly for their children, but those things are huge medical scares.
However, Meghan Markle has battled the hard days with courage and is now on to better things. Not only has she emerged as a leading name in the business and lifestyle world, but she will also be displaying her climb to global domination as she will be featured soon on the Time100 Summit along with other A-listers, top CEOs, and other world leaders. In this upcoming summit, Markle and others will be focusing on highlighting solutions and encouraging social actions towards world improvement. Looks like the name change As Ever eventually brought more success and opportunities to Markle.
