With lessons as heavy as perseverance and good mentorship being made digestible for the younger populace, the Karate Kid
franchise has maintained the mark it has made ever since its first flick in the line was released in 1984. With the Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith duo creating its most iconic reprise yet, the two, granted only Smith’s younger self, and Chan being cemented as faces of the franchise’s brand. And as time ebbed further, Chan has made another appearance that only happens to be exactly inside the radius of the Karate Kid.
Jackie Chan’s fountain of youth on the hand, seems to never get dry. His energy and infectious smiles, and the curiosity for almost anything remains steadfast.
Jackie Chan has returned with new moves that could kill (with cuteness)
In a new X post on the official Karate Kid
account captioned “Omg he nailed it”
with a hand heart stopping the sentence, Jackie Chan is a bundle of sweetness as he tries to emulate the finger heart alongside co-star Ben Weng as they stand to get a picture taken.
His hair might be a sign of the years behind him, but the gentle curiosity with which he looks over at Weng is enough to melt what is left of the South Pole. Successfully completing his finger heart and parroting what he hears the camera person say about the picture taken, he chirps, “I nailed it, Oh my God I nailed it.

With the X post being the purest form of wholesomeness, there was also an announcement being made in regards to the franchise. If, to say, the fifteen long years of waiting were anything to suffice (in context to the first movie), the account casually slipped in the release of the franchise’s sixth film. Being the third Karate Kid,
the story’s premise will, however, be picked up right where it was left off in the spin-off, the Cobra Ka
i
series’ fifth season.

Karate Kid: Legends, what’s in store?
With the X post announcing the upcoming release of Karate Kid: Legends
to be set as close as May 30, 2025, talks of the movie had been set to motion ever since the idea that the sixth season of the Karate Kid
spin-off series Cobra Kai
was to be delayed
this time around. Karate Kid: Legends
reunites Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio, introducing Ben Wang as the new karate kid, Li Fong. The trailer features Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Han teaming up to mentor Fong, showcasing street brawls, dojo showdowns, and a new karate tournament.
