Netflix is getting back in the ring this summer. The streamer will air the third matchup between super lightweight champion Katie Taylor and featherweight world champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano on July 11.

The fight will take place in New York City’s Madison Square Garden and will be streamed live globally. Altogether, there will be 10 two-minute rounds.

Most Valuable Promotions, Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian’s company, will put on the event. This actually marks the second matchup between Taylor and Serrano to come from a Netflix and MVP partnership. Their second fight was the co-main event alongside last year’s Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight. Taylor won both of those previous matchups.

Taylor and Serrano first fought in April of 2022, a matchup that also took place at Madison Square Garden. That event, which won Sports Illustrated’s Fight of the Year and The Ring’s Event of the Year, marked the first time a women’s fight headlined MSG. The pair’s Netflix fight then became the most-watched women’s professional sporting event in U.S. history, securing an average minute audience of 47 million minutes. And this upcoming fight is also set to make history — a press release for the event stated that both Taylor and Serrano will receive “record-breaking purses” that will make them the “highest-paid female fighters of all time.” Exact figures have yet to be reported.

The ticket sales date will also be announced at a later time.

“I want to thank everyone at Matchroom, MVP and Netflix for getting the trilogy over the line and I can’t wait to headline at MSG again in July,” Taylor said in a Thursday statement. “I’m 2 and 0 against Amanda but it’s obviously a very special rivalry that delivers every time we step in the ring so I think it’s only right that we have the trilogy.”

“I promised my fans they would see this trilogy, and I’m incredibly grateful that we get to complete our journey where it all began — at Madison Square Garden, live on Netflix for the world to see,” Serrano added, before calling out Taylor for not agreeing to 12 three-minute rounds, a duration that is “equal to the men.”

“This is a record-setting payday for both of us, and we owed it to the fans to honor the handshake deal we made. She didn’t. But make no mistake, every time we share the ring, it is war, and I know Friday, July 11, will be the greatest yet because I will finally get the official W I deserve,” she concluded.
