. has been a staple face of the Marvel Universe. Carrying out his role as the armored hero Iron Man, receiving tribute blockbuster movies with healthy run-times, accolades for almost all installations involving him in the MCU. Robert Downey Jr. had admittedly become an indispensable pawn of the Marvel Studios.
As every successful act of the showbiz, is known to be milked, so was Downey Jr. Not a day had gone by since his showdown with Thanos, only half lain into the casket, that the MCU resurrected the man as none other than kin to the epitome, the harbinger of the heroic but ill-fated end of Tony Stark, Dr. Doom
from the Fantastic Four
franchise. Booted up in a metal armor, from head to toe, sitting regally as though wrath is seeping down his cape, the recent concept photos being circulated from the Studios are every bit menacing.
They created such a perfect design for DOOM only for it to be wasted on that horrendous casting. DOOM’s disappointment is immeasurable. Clearly another attempt from the Americans to slander my great name and ruin my reputation. pic.twitter.com/9alKOA6TGB

Having been brought into light through an Art station page of a concept artist for the Studios, a clear accident looking at how it was noted to have been removed immediately after its unintended reveal over the wildfire of modern day internet. What stands as a concern however, to the avidly and eagerly following audience, is their belief of the unsufficing-ness that comes with Robert Downey Jr.’s casting as the fearsome Dr. Doom.
Expecting the looming-ness and absence of all light that seeps in with the antagonist’s presence to be (ironically, metaphorically) better lit.
If not wreaking havoc over the internet, then there must be something skewed with the leaked information immediately, and such seemed to be the case here.
Robert Downey Jr.’s warm unwelcoming (Dr. Dooms dungeons tend to run a little up the meter)
With the potential look, costume, attire ensemble that has been making rounds as part of the concept art wherein, Dr. Doom is depicted sitting as if angered by a devotee. And there is yet not much fans are reacting with other than either only a slight nod of courtesy and on the other hand total denial,
in wake of the trail left by the leaked art.
If they really wanted RDJ back so bad, he was right there man. pic.twitter.com/BgyOfYMOXZ

Can’t believe they wasted our lord’s likeness on of all people pic.twitter.com/VZyV4KYD87

Do we really think RDJ is keeping the mask on that much?

The reaction, however, is not entirely of distaste, but also like that of a parent being patient with a learning child.
i don’t think the casting will matter TOO much since doom always has his mask on, but if/when he ever takes off the mask yeah i’ll be disappointed

can someone please enlighten me as to why is RDJ a bad casting for Doom other than him already having been iron man?

I think saying it is “horrendous casting” is a bit of an overreaction, DOOM. We’ll see what it looks like when it comes out.

Robert Downey Jr.’s iconic projection of the stark Tony Stark has indelibly marked the Marvel Cinematic Universe, elevating the franchise to unprecedented heights. And his departure from the role in the finalizing Avengers: Endgame
having left fans honestly admitting to defeat and no revolt. Acceptance, if one may. And while his re-casting as Dr. Doom seems to be met with more of skepticism than excitement, there is still an eagerness left in the audience, a margin that has been reserved as an opening to being surprised.
