It won’t shock you to read that Jimmy Kimmel is not a fan of Elon Musk, and so it was that during his monologue on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” he had plenty of harsh words for Musk’s incompetence and corruption.

Those comments came after a lengthy look at the madness permeating the Trump administration since he took office, which at the start of his monologue led Kimmel to declare, “so much has happened, so many great things. Inflation is up, unemployment is up, eggs cost more than iPhones, the measles is back, planes are running into each other. I’m getting dizzy just thinking about how great America is again.”

After some more discussion along these lines, Kimmel eventually noted, “the good news is, the good news is that while Elon is busy throwing the whole country into a blender, he’s making plenty of money. According to the Washington Post, the FAA had a 2.4-billion-dollar contract with Verizon to upgrade their communications. Now, they’re gonna cancel that contract, and award it to a company called Starlink, which is owned by guess who?”

This is of course true by the way. You can read more about it here. Now, back to Kimmel.

“Oh no, there’s nothing shady about it at all,” Kimmel joked about the insanely corrupt deal after his audience started booing. “All in, companies owned by Elon Musk have been the recipient of more than 30 billion dollars from our government. That’s billion with a B. And nuts, with an N.”

“Putting Elon Musk in charge of government contracts is like putting Pac-Man in charge of fruit. It’s a bad idea,” Kimmel continued.
