What are the entertainment offerings that consumers are most excited about? It’s a question that marketers, distributors, advertisers and media publications are always asking.
ScreenShare, a data partnership between Screen Engine/ASI and TheWrap, tracks the Top 10 most-mentioned entertainment options every week and whether each has gained or lost momentum compared to the prior week. The chart lives on the Data & Analysis page of the WrapPRO Members Hub.
“Captain America: Brave New World” is No.1 on the list — and at the domestic box office — during its second weekend in theaters. “Wicked” moves back into the No. 2 spot during the week of the announcement that it will be streaming exclusively on Peacock starting Mar. 21.
This is a notable week for TV series, with the most TV series appearing in the Top 10 to date, led by Netflix’s “Stranger Things” at No. 3 as buzz continues around its fifth and final season. Showtime’s “Yellowjackets” joins the list at No. 4 following the release of the first two episodes of Season 3 on Feb 14. Amazon Prime Video’s “Reacher” climbs one spot to No. 5, while “Squid Game” moves up to No. 6.
“Sonic the Hedgehog 3” slides down three spots to No. 7 during the week of its release on Paramount+, and Apple TV+’s psychological thriller “Severance” jumps back onto the list at No. 8. “NBA Basketball” joins the list at No. 9, coinciding with its All-Star weekend that was held on Feb. 14-16. “The White Lotus” moves down one spot to No. 10 following its Season 3 premiere on Max.
