The 20-year-old is about as caught up with social media trends as someone from the ’80s trying to understand TikTok. She has, in fact, been pretty open about how much she loves the ’80s era—the days before Instagram and TikTok when there was no constant pressure to stay on top of the latest trends. And, once again, she has shown the world just how out of the loop she is.
Millie Bobby Brown recently had a bit of a cringe-worthy moment with her boomer-ish attempt at a TikTok trend.

Millie Bobby Brown tried to hop on the TikTok trend called the ‘Suspect Challenge.’ The idea is that friends, family, or couples playfully insult each other while pretending to be cops chasing down a suspect. But one has to run alongside the camera while doing the trend, and Brown clearly did not understand the assignment. Instead, she literally ran like how Enola Holmes would while trying to escape her overprotective brothers and the cops. Brown shot to fame after Stranger Things
season one, but that fame came at a cost.

Brown was bombarded with a whole lot of attention—both good and bad. The online hate and bullying—sometimes for things she did not even do
— led her to take a step back from social media. However, she still manages to keep in touch with her followers—especially when it comes to promoting her brand—with a little help from her team.
Millie Bobby Brown once shared how her team filters her social media consumption for her so she can avoid any negativity.
Last year, Millie Bobby Brown shared with WWD that while she loves seeing how people are using her products on social media, she does not actually scroll through it herself. Instead, her team takes care of all the heavy lifting, going through and filtering her feed so she can “protect”
herself. She does not even keep Instagram or TikTok on her phone—although there is one application she is not ready to delete yet

In an Allure cover story, Brown opened up about how her relationship with social media changed when she started getting a lot of hateful and inappropriate messages from adult men. “It’s really hard to be hated on when you don’t know who you are yet,
” she said, explaining why she deleted both her Twitter and TikTok accounts in 2021. Therefore, it is no wonder why Brown is a little out-of-touch with TikTok trends.
